Media Release - Modern Slavery Policy

XP Relines has recently reviewed and updated its modern slavery policy, to ensure that XP Relines business is conducted in a socially responsible manner, and that business activities of XP Relines do not directly or indirectly support modern slavery.

POLICY STATEMENT

XP Relines has a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery, and is committed to acting with integrity in relation to our staff, our clients, and the community in general.XP Relines is a service provider, and as such, it is aware that in general, it does not operate in a way that opens itself to supporting modern slavery. However, this policy is in place to ensure that all employees understand the commitment XP Relines wants to make to taking steps to monitoring potential risk in its supply chain.

APPLICATION

This policy applies to all XP Relines Group employees and applies globally. If travelling or based outside of Australia, this policy is still required to be followed.

DEFINITION OF MODERN SLAVERY

Modern Slavery is a term that relates to the following;

  • Slavery

  • Servitude

  • Forced Marriage

  • Child Labour

  • Debt Bondage

  • Human Trafficking

  • Other exploitive practices

RESPONSIBILITIES

All employees must comply with this policy by completing the following;

  • Ask questions of suppliers, to ascertain whether there is a risk that the supplier may engage in modern slavery or related practices

  • Management will look to create and implement a revised supplier questionnaire, which will be deployed on a risk basis, based on the nature of the services provided by the supplier.

All employees must avoid undertaking any activities that may lead to a breach of this policy. Anyone found to be in breach of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action, including potential dismissal for gross misconduct.

RAISING A CONCERN

We encourage all our workers to raise concerns at the earliest stage possible when there is suspicion of modern slavery from a supplier, or a business partner. Any employees who suspect XP Relines have acted in breach of this policy, must immediately notify the Managing Director.

XP Relines will support and protect employees that raise concerns, and pledge that no employee will suffer because they reported in good faith their suspicion of modern slavery within our supply chain
