Equality & Diversity
XP Relines employs a team of staff (both male and female) who travel internationally to various mine sites around the world. The company is home to an inclusive and diverse workforce with our female employees working as reline technicians in various roles, as well as office based administrative roles including board members, human resources, finance, and general administration.

Two employees who are integral to the success of our relining operation are Molly Watson (28) and Louane Venter (19). Molly, in her second year of working for the company and Louane in her first, both began their mining careers in the role of sentry then progressed onto being cart operators.
Cart operator is a crucial role during a reline, they ensure workflow is maintained. This role can be made more challenging to manage when the site runs dual mill relining machines.

Molly showed an interest early on in her career to learn to operate the mill relining machine and has recently completed her training as an operator. She has also taken on the responsibility of Health and Safety Officer within the crew. Molly highlights “being able to work in various locations throughout Australia and further abroad and the support from the company to progress in her career” as some of the best things working for XP Relines offers. Having equal work opportunities has been hugely rewarding for Molly as it has allowed her skillset to expand and improve.

Both Molly and Louane have gained qualifications to use all tooling equipment required to undertake external and internal mill reline tasks, making them valuable employees within the team on their own merits. Louane enjoys the diversity of the work onsite and feels supported to try new roles to better her career and knowledge.
Molly and Louane describe their experience working for XP Relines as positive, with Louane saying that “everyone is very encouraging and free of judgments, making the day-to-day work really enjoyable”. They note inclusiveness and a positive workplace culture allows them to undertake their work as an equal team member, in what is traditionally a male dominated sector.
